McCain all Over the Map

In an interview conducted on Friday, Republican presidential nominee John McCain proudly stated that “I count myself as a conservative Republican, yet I view it to a large degree in the Theodore Roosevelt mold.”

Not Goldwater, not Robert Taft, and not even Ronald Reagan, but McCain sees himself in the mold of the statist TR.  I’m not surprised at all.

Despite admitting that he knows absolutely nothing about economics, McCain decided to give us some economic advice:

“McCain also said that the Federal Reserve was right to step in during the collapse of the investment firm Bear Stearns and that he would similarly support some sort of aggressive action to avert a meltdown of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the nation’s two largest mortgage finance companies.”

Juan then went on to advocate Socialism, when, sounding like Obama or Hillary he stated, “Government should take care of those in America who cannot take care of themselves.”
